Building a new home can be an overwhelming experience. Fortunately, Hainstock Homes has been privileged to work with hundreds of homeowners throughout Western Wisconsin—we KNOW how to make the process easier for you—all while ensuring your home dreams come true.
Our step-by-step process (outlined below) keeps projects on-track and on-budget.
Initial Meeting – Derick will meet with you to learn about your family, expectations of your new home, and lifestyle. This information is then used to design the perfect plan for your project. Together, we will discuss timelines, outline selection decisions, and show samples of products.
Design – The design phase includes reviewing our already-built floor plans or a unique plan designed just for you. During this step of the building process, we can also assist with connections in the financing of your new home project.
Bidding – In this final pre-construction phase, we will compile a comprehensive estimate that outlines each aspect of your new home. As we work toward review and approval, we will also discuss payment terms and schedule.
Pre-Construction Meeting – At this point, we will review your finalized design, answer questions, and provide project expectations. Our focus is on open and honest communication that eliminates any surprises and keeps your project on-schedule.
Foundation – The first phase of construction includes installing the foundation footings and block or poured concrete walls, and waterproofing of the materials. The first inspections are also conducted.
Framing – During this step, you will start selecting fixtures and furnishing, our crew begins framework assembly, and you will see the outline of your new home.
Rough-In Mechanicals – Once framing is completed, we will rough-in all mechanicals, utilities, and plumbing. The heating and cooling contractor will being work, inspections will occur, and a pre-drywall orientation meeting will be scheduled.
Insulation and Drywall – Construction insulation will be installed in the exterior walls and attic, drywall will be completed, and taping and texturing will occur so painting can begin.
Interior and Exterior Features – Interior doors, trim, base moldings, and cabinets are installed. The driveway, sidewalks, garage doors, and exterior painting will occur. Your new home will be professionally cleaned and one more quality inspection will be completed.
Final Walk-Through – This is the final step of our building process. You will inspect the entire home and we will provide education on all of the interior workings.
